83 | Overcoming Procrastination and Reaching Your Goals

The Crazy Good Life

Steve Chandler writes that "the crazy good life is a series of simple, clean, and clear decisions". From my perspective, this is worth exploring.

What's stopping you?

Often it is procrastination that keeps us from living the crazy good life. Today I heard Brendon Burchard talk about the opportunities that lie in planning the next day the night before. He believes that a good plan, a good night's sleep, focusing on the plan first thing in the morning before going about the business of the day, and reflecting later on what worked and what did not, is the best way to overcome procrastination.

Your WHY is also important. It took a while for my WHY to pull me in the right direction. Now I procrastinate less because I see a good reason. I coach people to get unstuck with the goal of living the crazy good life or in my words the outstanding life.

Overcome procrastination

Procrastination is a common problem that can prevent us from achieving our goals. It can be caused by a variety of factors such as fear of failure, perfectionism, or simply not knowing where to start. However, there are a number of things you can do to overcome procrastination and start living the crazy good life.

One of the best ways to overcome procrastination is to make a plan. This doesn't have to be anything complicated, but it should give you a general idea of what you need to do and when you need to do it. Once you have a plan, it's important to break it down into smaller, more manageable tasks. This will make the tasks seem less daunting and more achievable.

Another important tip for overcoming procrastination is to set deadlines for yourself. This will help you stay on track and avoid putting things off until the last minute. It's also key to be realistic about your deadlines. If you set deadlines that are too ambitious, you're more likely to procrastinate.

Train your stamina, seek support

In addition to making a plan and setting deadlines, it's also important to find ways to stay motivated. This could include rewarding yourself for completing tasks, finding a partner to work with, or simply reminding yourself why you want to achieve your goals.

Overcoming procrastination is not always easy, but it is possible. Don't be afraid to fail. Everyone fails at some point. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward.

Don't get so caught up in achieving your goals that you forget to enjoy the process. Enjoy the journey, the crazy good life is about living each day to the fullest.

Remember, you can do anything you set your mind to!
