Together with adult leaders, I would like to embark on new adventures. I want to camp in groups again, cook together, collect firewood, sit around the campfire, sing and chat. With you I want to talk about adult topics, listen to your ideas, and see what similarities we have or what makes us different. We will share what makes us successful and motivate each other to set our goals higher. We'll spin ideas, make plans and change the world!
Adult themes are of course nonsense! They are our topics, which have always accompanied us as scouts: Friendship, encounters, engagement for people and for the environment, inventing daring projects and mastering them together, and much more in this direction.
When we advertised the Jordan trip for 18 to 27-year-old leaders, many of you told us that you would also like to participate in such adventures. And rightly so! The Jordan trip was fantastic. It was a 14-day trip. In the first week, we met Jordanians, Israelis and Palestinians and spent a whole week together. In the second, we explored Jordan: bathed in the Dead Sea, shared Wadi Rum with Bedouins, visited Petra, snorkeled in the Red Sea, hiked and swam in a water-bearing canyon, explored towns near Irbid, and enjoyed the hospitality of our new Jordanian friends. It was truly grandiose!
Now I'm off to find you. I'm looking for you if you enjoy camping with Scouts, if you want to continue experiencing adventure, if you have great ideas you want to implement, if you enjoy telling us about your ideas, if you are inspired by other ideas, if you wish to think bigger about your own plans, if you want to get together with international Scouts, if you are willing to speak English or are able to converse with hand and foot. I am looking for you if you want to strive for peace and understanding across national borders. I am looking for you if you care about friendship!
I want to bring international leaders together, be it for a weekend, a long weekend, a week, 10 or 14 days. The important thing is that we have a common basis: we are convinced scouts!
In the next days and weeks, I will develop my idea further. You will be able to read more about it here and maybe you are exactly the person I am looking for. If yes, then send me an email or give me a call. I'll be happy to tell you more details about my idea, which is just growing into a project. I can already see how we will camp together.
