Do not follow the path. Go where there is no path to begin the trail.
Ashanti Proverb
Are you ready for a change? Change comes mostly from the repetition of something new. Let’s say you want to become a blogger, but you did not write consistently. At one point, you need to decide how much effort you want to invest in your wish. Do you really want to become a blogger? Yes? Then write regularly.
Sometimes this is easier said than done. While I’m typing these words I am becoming terribly tired. I could fall asleep on the spot. Sometimes this tiredness is meant to be a safety belt. It keeps me safe from harm. It keeps me within my boundaries.
If I stay within my boundaries though all will stay as it is.
Crossing boundaries regularly is not easy on the brain. At least not as long your crossings aren’t a habit yet. The habit is the goal: The habit lets your brain relax again. Expect your path to the goal to be steep, stony and uneven. Accept it as your challenge and enjoy the journey.
Enjoying your journey makes it easier on you when your plan is going sideways.
Just a few minutes ago, I gave myself a break. I took a nice hot shower. My mind relaxed. The feeling of emptiness, not knowing what to write about, and overwhelming tiredness left me.
What can you do to give yourself a break when things are getting difficult?
In those times it sure helps to recall that creating a new trail is an amazing adventure! You will see new things, make new friends, might deepen existing friendships, your senses will be alert. You will see more, hear, smell, and feel more. Being more alert lets you feel more intense: the happiness and the mad times.
Are you ready for more adventure in your life?
